Governor Laura Kelly is issuing a proclamation that updates drought declarations for Kansas counties.

Kelly says drought conditions have improved in some parts of the state, but many counties continue to be impacted by a decline in water supply and strains on water resources.

Four Kansas counties are under a drought emergency, 35 counties are in a drought warning and 66 counties, including Saline County are under a drought watch.
