The future is uncertain for the head of the Great Bend Police Department.
The Great Bend City Council voted Monday night to suspend and potentially fire police chief Cliff Couch. Couch says the situation started after he raised concerns about misconduct and about his officers being understaffed and overworked. According to the suspension notice,
Couch allegedly falsely accused the city administrator of unethical conduct and the notice also accused Couch of refusing to investigate harassment in the police department.
