It was very special event at the Salina Public Library Monday afternoon, with a very special furry monster guest. Beloved Sesame Street character Grover hosted a storytime event.
The big blue character hosted “Storytime with Grover.” He met and greeted children, and was a part of reading time. The event also included a coloring activity.
Grover, along with his other friends in the Sesame Street gang, are in Salina for Sesame Street Live’s “Make a New Friend”.
According to the Salina Bicentennial Center, the Broadway-style musical show is a fun-filled event with interactive learning experiences. It includes up-close and furry interactions on the audience floor. Like television’s Sesame Street, each Sesame Street Live production features timeless tunes and lessons for all ages.
Sesame Street Live’s “Make a New Friend” is in Salina for two shows Tuesday, at 10:30 in the morning and 5:30 in the evening, at the Bicentennial Center.
