A suspect is taken into custody following a standoff near Hesston.

Harvey County deputies were called to a home in the 8600 block of North Mission Road yesterday afternoon after a homeowner returning to the house spotted the garage door open. The suspect ordered the homeowner to leave the residence before locking himself inside.

Law enforcement surrounded the home and entered the house about three hours later and apprehended the suspect, who suffered minor injuries.
