Human remains, likely those of a child, are found buried in a backyard in Rose Hill.

Police responded to a disturbance at a home on Tuesday night and later transported one person to a hospital in serious condition.

Information about a possible homicide led to a search at the home yesterday, and the discovery of the remains.

Authorities say the suspected homicide may have taken place years ago.
