A jury duty phone scam is going around the Salina area.
Multiple people reported receiving a phone call on Saturday claiming to be from the Saline County Sheriff’s Office. The caller says that jury duty has been missed, and an arrest warrant has been issued. The caller goes on to say that the warrant can be taken care of over the phone if financial account information is given.
This is a scam. Anyone receiving a call like this should not provide any information. If you ever receive a surprise call asking for bank account information, it’s never wise to provide that information without first confirming from a legitimate source.
