Kansas Gas Service has made a donation to a Salina area fund raising effort.
According to the Central Kansas Foundation, Kansas Gas Service has awarded a $5,000 gift to CKF’s Pathfinder@50 Capital Campaign. This gift will expand CKF’s residential detox and treatment center, as well as help meet the challenge grant issued by the J.E. & L.E. Mabee Foundation.
Over the past 5 years, the rapid growth in the demand for CKF’s detoxification services and residential treatment has caused a backlog of patients and a need to expand physical resources. Renovation and expansion includes: a medical treatment room, the addition of a 24/7 physician’s office and CKF’s “bed space” will be expanded by ten beds and the current bed/living space will be renovated.
“This donation provides Kansas Gas Service an opportunity to support individuals who are working toward recovery from substance use issues. We’re pleased whenever we can have a meaningful impact in the communities where we work and live.” James Lambert, Manager of Community Relations for Kansas Gas, said as he presented the check to Les Sperling, CEO of CKF.
The gift from Kansas Gas Service will support the community by helping more people find their path to recovery.
