The Kansas Senate is voting to override Governor Laura Kelly’s veto of legislation that would prohibit transgender athletes from taking part in women’s sports. Senators voted yesterday 28-to-10 in favor of the override.

Kelly vetoed the bill earlier this month because she said the law would harm students and hurt the state’s business interests.
