A soldier from Kansas is killed in Afghanistan this week in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
According to the Department of Defense 33-year-oldSgt. 1st Class Trenton L. Rhea of Oakley died on Wednesday in Kandahar, Afghanistan. He drowned while attempting to cross a body of water during combat operations.
Rhea was assigned to the 603rd Military Police Company, 530th Military Police Battalion, 300th Military Police Brigade, 200th Military Police Command, Belton, Missouri.
