Kansas Governor Jeff Colyer and Governor-elect Laura Kelly are preparing for the transition of power.

Kelly met with Colyer yesterday in Topeka to discuss the transition process before the new governor takes office in January.

Colyer says he is committed to creating a smooth transition for Kelly, who defeated Republican Kris Kobach in Tuesday’s general election.
