A bill that changes the definition of a critical infrastructure facility to include telecommunications and broadband infrastructure is signed into law by Kansas Governor Laura Kelly.

The measure also extends legal protections to ensure their security and limit service outages.

Kelly says the state is taking steps to deter tampering and to ensure Kansas residents’ internet service is not disrupted.
