Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach is turning to a Wichita businessman to serve as his running mate in the governor’s race.

Kobach announced Wednesday Wink Hartman will join the ticket as a candidate for Kansas Lieutenant Governor. The Republican Hartman ended his own campaign for Kansas governor last month and officially endorsed Kobach at that time.

The duo are currently on a statewide tour.
