The three-day grace period for returning mail-in ballots in Kansas is coming to an end.

The Kansas House and Senate voted yesterday to override Governor Laura Kelly’s veto of a bill requiring that voters must return their ballots by 7:00 p.m. on Election Day.

The new law will take effect on January 1st, 2026.
