A man is dead following a drowning in Neosho County.

Emergency crews were called to the Neosho River near 207th and Grady on Saturday evening after a 21-year-old international student from Fiji was swimming with friends when he jumped off the dam, became caught in the current and drowned.

The victim’s body was later recovered.
