A K.C. area man is charged with robbery and battery in Salina.
According to Lt. Scott Siemsen, 46-year-old Troy Harlin of Fairway, KS, was arrested Friday night after an incident at a room at the Value Inn and Suites, 1640 W. Crawford.
Police were contacted by 51-year-old James Purucker, around 9pm on Friday night, after Harlin allegedly entered his room and hit him with a baseball ball and then left with a cell phone, HP All in One computer, stereo speakers plus a duffel bag.
Officers found Harlin a short time later near the area of Broadway and South Street and arrested him on charges that include robbery, battery and damage to property. Parucker refused medical treatment.
Police have so far recovered a damaged cell phone related to the case. Total loss is listed at $335.
