A man is dead following an explosion at an oil well site in Harper County.

Authorities say two men were welding at a site north of Attica yesterday when some type of gas buildup exploded.

Fifty-seven-year-old Charles Weber was killed, and a 27-year-old man was flown to a Wichita hospital for treatment.

The incident is under investigation.
