Additional details have been revealed in an animal cruelty case allegedly involving the Valley Center High School baseball team.

The Valley Center Department of Public Safety says that a chicken was killed on the baseball diamond at the high school before an away game on April 20th.

Investigators are looking into the incident, and the Valley Center varsity baseball season has been suspended.
