A new executive director will take over leadership of the Salina Area United Way.
According to the organization, Amanda Michaelis will be the new person in charge.
Michaelis earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Kansas and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration and Healthcare Administration from the University of Missouri. For the last twelve years, she has served as the Director of Administration and Regional Bookkeeper of Propane Central.
Michaelis has served the Salina community in many capacities, including President of the Board of Trustees of the Salina Education Foundation, Board President of the Salina Child Care Association, and Treasurer of the Salina Country Club.
As Executive Director of the Salina Area United Way, Michaelis will lead the agency in its efforts to increase their annual fundraising results so that in collaboration with our certified, funded agency partners we can continue to improve lives and strengthen our community.
