The Kansas Bureau of Investigation is creating a new team aimed at fighting fentanyl trafficking. KBI officials announced yesterday that they have created the Joint Fentanyl Impact Team. The task force will include KBI special agents, Kansas Highway Patrol troopers and Homeland Security Agents who will work together to disrupt fentanyl distribution in the state.

A Kansas man is dead following a drowning at an Oklahoma lake. Forty-seven-year-old Daniel Siebert of Wichita was operating a boat at Grand Lake when he fell into the water on Saturday night and never resurfaced. Siebert's body was recovered from the lake yesterday morning. The incident is under investigation.
