A suspected homicide at a Kansas prison is under investigation. Forty-year-old Brooks Vonthaer was found unresponsive in his cell at the El Dorado Correctional Facility on Tuesday and later died. Investigators say Vontraer suffered multiple fatal injuries, and a 34-year-old cellmate of Vonthaer has been identified as a suspect in the case.

A state task force is recommending less screen time for students at school. The Blue Ribbon Schools Task Force on Screen Time has recommended that Kansas schools ban cell phones, headphones and smart watches during the school day.
