Kansas players did not go away empty-handed in Tuesday night’s Mega Millions drawing, even though the $400 million jackpot was hit by players in Florida and Maryland.
According to the Kansas Lottery, one Mega Millions ticket, sold in south central Kansas, is worth $15,000 after matching four of the first five numbers and the Mega Ball, with the Megaplier option. The Megaplier multiplied the $5,000 prize by “3.”
Another Mega Millions ticket also matched four of the first five numbers and the Mega Ball but did not have Megaplier, and that ticket is worth $5,000. The ticket was sold in southeast Kansas.
Also sold in southeast Kansas, a Mega Millions ticket that matched four of the first five numbers, plus having the Megaplier option, and is worth $1,500.
Nearly 46,000 other players in Kansas won Mega Millions prizes ranging from $500 to $1.
The winning numbers in the March 18 Mega Millions drawing are 11-19-24-33-51 Mega Ball 7 and Megaplier 3.
