Albertha R. Adam, 82, of Salina, passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2022. She was born April 24, 1939, in Minneapolis, to Floyd and Bertha (Ayers) Montague. She married John Adam on September 1, 1959 in Salina at Sacred Heart Cathedral. She retired from Salina Surgical Hospital after many years at St. John’s Hospital. She was a member of VFW Auxiliary and Sweet Adelines.
Left to mourn her passing is her husband of 62 years, John; children, Connie Warta (Flint), of Ellsworth, Judy Spaeny (John), Gypsum, Johnnie Adam (Heidi), of Salina; siblings, Esther Harner, of Salina, Frank Montague, of Valley Center, Larry Montague, of Knob Knoster, Missouri; grandchildren, Matthew Warta (Stacy), Lindsey Voeltz (Jordan), Adam Spaeny (Brittany), Breanna Sirois (Grant), Slade Adam, Ty Adam, Jase Adam, Kyla Adam, and Carli Ryles; 10 great-grandchildren and two due this year.
She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Bob Montague, Virgil Montague, Victor Montague, Bill Montague, Elma Postlethwaite, Josephine Werneke, and Verla Smith.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday, March 13 at Ryan Mortuary rosary will begin at 7:00 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday, March 14, at St. Mary Queen of the Universe Catholic Church with Fr. Kevin Weber as celebrant.
Memorials may be made the church or Holiday Resort.
