Alex Vernon Glavin, 87, of Salina, passed away February 22, 2022. He was born November 25, 1934, in Kingman, KS.
He worked in the Diesel Repair industry all his life as a Sales Representative retiring in 2005. He was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Incarnation where he served as a Senior/Junior Warden until the church closed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Carol Sue (Fay) Glavin, in 2008, brothers, Alfred, Richard, Virgil, and a sister, Minnie Jane Glavin-Davidson.
Survivors include his children, Curtis (Danise) Glavin, Owasso, OK; Rodd (Jolene) Glavin, Salina, KS; Leslie (Diana) Glavin, Loveland, CO; Reid (Betsy) Glavin, Grandby, CO; Scott Lynn) Tidmus, Winter Garden, FL;
Grandchildren, Erin (Amy) Glavin, Jennifer (David) Linder, Sarah (Nick) Sprenger, Kristyn (Tyler) Burnett, Jacob (Kinsey) Glavin, Levi (Jamie) Glavin, Sydney Glavin, Joel Glavin, Elisa Glavin, Sean (fiancé Merrilyn) Tidmus, Conner (Cary) Tidmus; and 9
Great Grandchildren, Henry, Lydia, Jack, Sophia, Oliver, Bella, Easton, Camden, and Annie. He is also survived by brothers Kenneth, Jessie, and Merle Glavin, and sister Dorothy Davis.
Funeral and Burial services will be held on Monday, March 14, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at Roselawn Heights Memorial Chapel, 1920 E. Crawford, Salina.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Salina Family YMCA or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
