She was born October 29th, 1925 in Aurora, Kansas, to the late Alfred and Elienne (LaNoue) Girard. After graduating from Kanopolis High School in 1943, Anna embarked on a journey that included 25 years of marriage and a fulfilling career. She dedicated 25 years of her life to Stiefels/Klines before retiring at 70. Her spirit of service extended beyond her workplace, through many years of volunteering at Salina Food Bank and Sacred Heart Church, quietly doing laundry, and folding bulletins with a heart full of kindness. Anna was the strong, fearless matriarch of a large and loving family, leaving a legacy that stretches through generations. She was the guiding light to her 9 children, 21 grandchildren, over 25 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren, all of whom felt the warmth of her unconditional love throughout their lives.
Anna had a gift for nurturing life, both in her garden and in the hearts of her loved ones. Her love for plants was a reflection of her caring nature and her green thumb is something that she passed down to her family. She found joy in the simplicity of life, spending countless hours with puzzles, her faithful feline companion, Kari, and, most of all, with her cherished family. She embodied selflessness, humility, and grace in all that she did, setting an example for all who had the privilege of knowing her.
