Arlene Laura McClain died Sunday, June 25, 2023 in Salina at the age of 101 years old. She was born in Salina, Ks on May 28, 1922. She graduated from Salina High School and went on to live in Salina her whole life.

Arlene married Cecil McClain in 1943. She had a son, Steve, born in 1953. In 1955 another son was born, David, who died at childbirth. She worked in the grocery business at several different places including Ashtons and Falleys.

Arlene enjoyed watching her boys in blue, the K.U. basketball team and the Kansas City Royals. She also loved playing and winning at bingo.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Anna Weis; her husband, Cecil, and; infant son David Samuel; brothers, Paul Weis and Eddie Weis.

Surviving her is her son, Steven (Angie) McClain of Salina; grandkids, Tony (Carrie) McClain of Washington, D.C., Chad McClain of Salina, Krista (Sean) McIntire of Centennial, Colorado; great grandkids, Carter and Olivia McClain of Washington, D.C., and Charlie and Griffin McIntire of Centennial, Colorado.

Cremation was her choice and no services are planned.
