Ashley Lynn Money, 35, of Salina, Kansas, passed away on June 3, 2024.
Ashley was born to Michael Money and Carolyn Ricker Money in Kansas City, Missouri, on June 9, 1988.
A native of Salina, Ashley graduated from Salina South High in 2006 and later attended Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, New York.
Ashley was a beacon of positivity, always looking at life with a hopeful lens. Her writing talent reflected this, and she used her words to share her positive outlook and passions. Her wisdom and intellect were not just for her own benefit; she used them to educate others on platforms that were important to her.
Ashley was a remarkable young woman who championed her struggles and celebrated her successes openly and honestly. She advocated for humans and animals alike and was accepting of not only her individuality but that of others as well. In her own words, “I was a child with big ideas and big feelings.”
Survivors include her parents, Carolyn Thompson (Ron) Bedford, IA; Mike Money and partner Annie Grevas, Salina, KS; a brother, Michael John Money, Salina, KS; Grandmother, Kay Money, Hill City, KS; many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins, and her beloved dog Ariana Grande (Ari).
Ashley was preceded in death by her grandparents, Harold and Nancy Ricker, and Grandfather, Michael Kemp Money.
Visitation will be at Ryan Mortuary from 1:00-8:00 on Friday, June 7, with family receiving guests from 5:00-6:30.
The family will honor Ashley in a private service on Saturday, June 8, followed by a Celebration of Life for Ashley’s friends and family at the Salina Country Club from 2:00-4:00.
In lieu of flowers, suggested memorials in Ashley’s memory to the Rolling Hills Zoo, Salina, Kansas, or Big Brothers Big Sisters of Salina, Kansas.
