Barbara Anne Macey, 87, passed away Thursday, July 20, 2023, in Salina, KS.

Barbara was born April 24, 1936, in Concordia, KS, to Luther Milne and Clare Marie Doty. She graduated from Chapman High School and worked as a medical assistant for several offices including 23 years for Drs. Dowell, Weber and Jackson; and 17 years at Mowery Clinic for Dr. Michael Lawrence.

She married the love of her life, Raymond Macey, on Valentine’s Day in 1957 in Junction City, KS. They remained sweethearts for 65 years. To this union were born Susan, Linda, and Michael. Barbara enjoyed quilting, aquacise, cake decorating, and had a love for yorkies and Briley (her shih tzu). Her other hobbies included, cruising (especially to Tahiti), visiting casinos, watching QVC, NASCAR, and enjoying a lot of coffee (raspberry mochas) and chocolate.

She is survived by her children, Susan Reiff (Don) of Salina, KS, Michael Macey (Sue) of El Pescadero, Baja California Sur; sister-in-law, Ann Douglas of Topeka, KS; six grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her sweetheart, Raymond, parents, sister, and beloved daughter, Linda Kay Robison (Doyle).
