On June 19, 2023, Barry Collins took his last breath on earth and first breath in the presence of Jesus. Barry leaves behind a legacy filled with laughter and love, with his family at the core of his life.
Barry is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Linda (Wilson), his daughter Amy, son Robbie (Wife Kati), and granddaughters Sammi and Abby. Barry was preceded in death by his parents, Lucille and Don R, and brother Bob Collins.
Barry was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, where he enjoyed singing in the choir. He was an Eagle Scout and spent many years volunteering for the Boy Scouts. He also had years of heavy involvement with the Isis Shrine Temple, where he served as Potentate in 2005.
Barry loved a cold glass of iced tea, John Wayne Westerns, and cheering for the Kansas City Chiefs. He enjoyed playing 10 point pitch with his friends and family, and supporting the musical talents of his family.
Barry will be fondly remembered for his laughter and the importance he placed on family. He will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
A memorial service will be held at 10am Wednesday, June 28th at Trinity United Methodist Church, Salina KS.
