Betty A. Wallace, age 81, of Concordia, died Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at Salina Regional Health Center, Salina, KS. She was born on December 4, 1937 in Cloud County, KS to Lester N. & Millie Z. (Evert) Bronson.

She was a graduate of Concordia High School.

Betty was the manager for Gibson Department Store for many years and retired as the purchasing agent for then the St. Joseph Hospital both of Concordia, Kansas.

She was a member of the Am. Legion #76 Ladies Aux., Women of the Moose #1428.

Betty enjoyed sewing, wearing jewelry, shopping, playing cards, gardening, decorating for holidays, professional wrestling, and most of all spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Bartley (Fiancé-Anthony Martinez), Hesston, KS.; 2 grandchildren, Casey Bartley (Deanna), Newton, KS.; Lindsey Koch (Paul), Council Bluffs, IA. & 4 great-grandchildren, Coleton, Evelynn, Violet and Drennon, and her beloved cat Mr. B.

Betty was preceded in death by her soulmate of 48 years in Sept. 2018, Donald Jones; her parents; sister, Wanda Zeek & 2 brothers, Evert Wayne & Lester Floyd Bronson.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 29, 2019 from 8:00 a.m. until service time at 10:30 a.m. at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia.

Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, April 29, 2019 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia with Rev. Bob Burns officiating. Burial of the cremains will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Concordia. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to O’Connor Animal Shelter in care of the funeral home.
