Betty Holcom, 89, passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2022.  She was born Betty Jo Swisher in Gypsum, KS on December 3, 1933.

Betty retired from the Saline County Sheriff’s Department after 27 years as the Sheriff’s Administrative Aide.  She enjoyed volunteering in the community.  Her greatest love was her family and enjoyed any occasion to spend with them.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John W. “Jack” Holcom in 2005.

She is survived by her children, Jack Holcom (Staci), Mary Holcom (Massey), Barb Turpin (Richard);  her grandchildren, Cody (Kassidy) Holcom, Cole Holcom, Tyler Holcom, Tess Holcom, Alyssa Vance, Dusty Lyman (Crystal), Chesna Bruckner (Matt), John Koepplin (Jaide), Ricky Allen (Shantel), Bryston Allen (Rochelle);  great-grandchildren, Bailey, Taegan, Hudson, Avey, Ava, Caroline, Jolee, Jake, Haley (Wes), Jordan, Peyston, Katelyn, Kensley,, Damien, Lilah and Jensen; and great-great baby girl on the way.

A graveside and inurnment service will be at 1 p.m. on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at the Gypsum Cemetery, Gypsum, KS.
