Beverly J. Hower, 85, of Salina, Kan., passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2024. She was born August 26, 1938, in Russell, Kan., to Herman and Opal (Wheeler) Dumler.

Beverly met her future husband, Larry Hower, on the first day of kindergarten in Russell, and they were later married on March 4, 1960, in Liberal, Kan. Beverly loved her cats and dogs, playing bridge, word games, and she was a big reader of mystery novels. She was a member of Tri Sigma sorority at Emporia State University and past member of P.E.O. Chapter DL.

Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Larry; daughter, Janelle Niesse, Stratford, N.H.; son, Todd Hower, Salina; and granddaughter, Elizabeth Niesse, Rochester, N.H.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and grandson, John Niesse.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, February 8, 2024, at Christ Cathedral Episcopal Church, 138 S 8th St, Salina, KS 67401.
