Bruce Lane McClintock, 59, of Derby, KS, passed away March 16, 2023. His family is deeply saddened by this loss. Even though Bruce battled his own struggles for two decades, he had a heart to help others. He never questioned opening up his home to feed or shelter those in need. Through all of life’s obstacles, Bruce’s love for God never wavered, completing several missionary trips to third world countries to spread the word of God.
Bruce was born in Salina, KS, January 21, 1964, to Ronald and Nancy (Shanahan) McClintock. He was the youngest of three children. Bruce graduated from Salina Central High School in 1982. Bruce married Judy Orr May 31, 1986. They lived in Olathe, KS, for nine years before moving back to Salina. Though this relationship wasn’t permanent, they had three children who Bruce loved dearly and spoke about often. Bruce married Donna Mann in 2006, blending his three children with her four.
Bruce was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include; daughter, Rashae Shippy (Brandon) of Salina; son, Derek McClintock (Nicole) of Salina; son, Cameron McClintock (Kayla) of Fayetteville, NC; sister, Lorrie Wearing (Gary) of Salina; brother, Brent McClintock of Sumner, WA; five grandchildren; numerous nieces; extended family; and friends.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at Revolution Church beginning at 10:00 AM with visitation with family. The family will have a private burial following the service.
