Carl Dixon Sanders, 80, died June 13, 2021, at his home surrounded by family. He was born February 1, 1941, in Santa Fe, NM, to Jack Travis Sanders and Frances Louise Bryan Sanders. He married Kathleen Joan Cultron Sanders in 1978 and they enjoyed 43 years together. Carl is proceeded in death by his parents and son, Robert Dixon Sanders.

He is survived by his wife, sister, Carole Travis Sanders Post, son, Travis Dixon Sanders (Sarah), daughters, Robin Kathleen Sanders Kissuu(Sila), Cari Marie Sanders Harpster (Doug), grandsons, Samuel Robert Kissuu, Sean Thomas Rahman, Jack Thomas Sanders, and granddaughters, Tyra Sophia Grace Rankin (Steven), Kylie Renee Rahman, Ella Kajiru Kissuu and many nephews, nieces, and cousins.

He loved and was loved by his family. Carl belonged to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and was good friends with his Heavenly Father and his Lord, Jesus Christ. He will be missed and will prepare a heavenly home for his family as they join him, just as he did on earth.

The family will hold private graveside services.

In leiu of flowers memorials may be made to the Salvation Army or the LDS Missionary Fund.
