Carol Ann Woodard, 84 of Salina, passed away Wednesday, October 19, 2022.  She was born November 15, 1937, here in Salina to Claude and Irene (Gerdes) Melvin.

Carol was a woman of many skills, as she worked for SW Bell briefly in Phoenix, Az. Then after moving to Salina,  she worked for Carroll’s Bookstore, as a library attendant at the Roosevelt-Lincoln Junior High School, as well as for Sears.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter; Chris Pengra, a sister; Lucille Read and a brother, David Melvin.

Carol is survived by her  husband; Charles E. Woodard, her son; Terry (Crystal) Vanover of Salina; Charles’ daughters; Leresa McEddy of Maryland, and Teresa Woodard of New York, NY., 5 grandchildren; April Coburn and significant other; John Heil, Tyler Vanover, Alyssa Pengra, Joel (Samantha) Pengra and Jordan (Maria) Pengra, Charles’s granddaughters; Kera McEaddy and Bria Williams, and 5 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service for Carol is planned for 11:00am, Saturday, November 19, 2022, at Roselawn Heights Memorial Chapel, 1920 E. Crawford, Salina.  Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
