Caroline Marie Lanterman, 43, of Salina, passed away Thursday, January 19th, 2023.

Caroline’s life journey began on May 6th, 1979 in Salina. She is the daughter of Bill and Cindy (Chapman) Lanterman. Caroline is also the mother of Kylie Retzlaff, her only child born on August 2nd, 2001.

Caroline spent the majority of her working career in the hospitality industry. She loved being around people. It gave her great pleasure to entertain for her family and her many friends.

Caroline and Kylie enjoyed a special bond. Caroline was always there for any event of Kylie’s and they were always there for each other.

The highlight of Caroline’s year was working as the Assistant Technical Director for the Smoky Hill River Festival, a position she helped her grandmother with and then carried on after the death of her grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Gene and Marie Chapman and Earl and Eddie Lanterman.

Caroline is survived by her parents, Bill and Cindy Lanterman; daughter, Kylie Retzlaff; uncle and aunt, Greg and Melody Chapman; uncle, Brian Chapman; aunt, Mary Lanterman, and 6 cousins.

A Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 4th, from 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm at Paramount Bar, 219 N Santa Fe Ave, Salina.
