Carrol Elaine Funston, 92 of Abilene passed away Monday, December 31, 2018 at Memorial Hospital in Abilene. She was born October 14, 1926 in Jefferson Township in Dickinson County, the daughter of Harvey and Myrtle (Hoffman) Meuli. On October 20, 1996 she was united in marriage to Dean Funston at Rock Springs Ranch in Junction City. Carrol retired from Civil Service in Fort Riley, Kansas. She enjoyed traveling, gardening and being out in nature.

Carrol is survived by two daughters: Sherri Miller of Missouri City, Texas and Sandy Manner (Esa) of Wichita. Brothers: Gene Meuli (Ann) of Salina; Dwight Meuli (Marvel) of Abilene. Sister-in-law: Pat Meuli of Abilene. Four grandchildren: Shad Miller of Missouri City, Texas; Shawna Miller of Lantana, Texas; Sarah Rogers of Wichita; and Suzanne Rogers of Castle Rock, Colorado. Three great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Dean, brother Elwin Meuli and son-in-law Jim Miller.

The family has chosen cremation. Memorial Services will be Friday, January 4 at 2:00 p.m. at Martin-Becker-Carlson Funeral Home. Family will receive friends Thursday, January, 3 from 5-7 p.m. at the Funeral Home. The family suggests memorials be given to Village Manor.
