Charles “Charlie” William Armstrong III, 74, passed away November 8, 2023, in Salina, KS.

He was born in Salina, KS on August 18, 1949, to Charles W. Armstrong II and Ida M. (Whittecar) Armstrong.

Charlie married Linda K. (Beach) Armstrong on August 20, 1971. They had two children, Andrea Swenson (Steve) and Chip Armstrong (Justin). Charlie has three grandchildren, Danielle Shelton (Brandon), Ashley Swenson, and Ashlynn Armstrong. He has three great children Addison, Gavin, and Ember Shelton.

Charlie lived a full life. He ran a gas station for several years then he worked for Graves Trucking. He retired in 2015 from Premier Pneumatics after 30 plus years. After retirement, he worked for Choices Network, Inc. where he drove the bus transporting individuals with developmental disabilities. They loved him dearly and it was something he enjoyed doing greatly. He was loved by many.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Richard, Keith, and John, and his sister Rosalie Berry.

Celebration of Life will be held Thursday November 16th, at 11 a.m. at Ryan Mortuary 137 North Eighth Street, Salina, KS 67401. Burial will announced at a later date.
