Charolette K. Deneault

Charolette K. Deneault, age 75, of Concordia, KS, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 6, 2024 at her home. She was born on June 29, 1949 in Red Cloud, NE to Kenneth J. & Mildred L. (Fielder) Smith.

She married Dale Deneault I, on November 12, 1966 in Concordia, KS.  He preceded her in death on April 3, 2013.

Charolette attended Concordia Schools and received her GED in 1986. She was a lifelong homemaker and always took care of her family. She also worked for USD 333 as a para-educator, bus monitor and in the kitchen.  She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Concordia & a former VFW #588 Auxiliary member.

She enjoyed traveling, camping, playing cards and trips to casinos with her siblings.  Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Charolette is survived by her daughters, Denell Wheeler (Brian), Salina, KS & Debbie Hoffer (Rod), Topeka, KS; son, Dale Deneault II (Jacki), Concordia, KS;  grandchildren, Braxtyn Wheeler (Anh), Brittany Wheeler, Dustin Hoffer (Megan) Darrick Hoffer (Dana), Rylee Hoffer, Dale Deneault III, Mason Venard & Jalen & Brecklynn Bonner; 11 great grandchildren; sisters, Karen Dykes (Bob), Rhonda Bunch & Lisa Snavely (Mike), all of Concordia, KS;  brothers, Kevin Smith (Jacque), Concordia, KS, Brad Smith (Rhonda), El Dorado, KS, Kent Smith (Julie),  Concordia, KS Terry Smith (Modene) & Todd Smith (Dana), both of Salina; and many nieces and nephews whom she dearly loved.

She was preceded in death by her husband Dale I, her parents, Kenneth & Mildred Smith, & grandchildren Joey Wheeler, and Taylor Bonner.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, July 12, 2024 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia, KS with Fr. Joseph Kieffer officiating.  Burial will follow at St. Concordia Cemetery, Concordia, KS. Visitation will be Thursday, July 11, 2024 from 1-8 pm with the family greeting friends from 7-8 pm all at the funeral home. It was Charolette’s request everyone attend the services in comfortable and casual attire.
