Chris Shannon Engle was born to Willis & Beth (Sjoholm) Engle in Lincoln, Nebraska on Febuary 13th, 1971. He was raised on the family farm in Geneva Nebraska with his older brother Tim and older sister Karyl.
Throughout Chris’s life, he enjoyed youth baseball, farming, hunting, fishing and working on vintage Mustangs. He shared a passion for hard work with his father as they worked together not only on the family farm, but also at ElDorado National in his young adult years. Chris’s deep roots in Nebraska showed through as you could always find him rooting the Cornhuskers on every Saturday during football season.
Working in home construction by trade, he worked for numerous building contractors in the Hutchinson and Salina area. His love for home building and remodeling was shared in many conversations with friends and family. Chris also spent the last several years helping and spending time with new and old friends.
Those who knew Chris, knew he was proud of his children. Chris leaves behind his daughter’s Ali (Ryan) Engle, Ryin Engle, MaKayla Farmer, Haylie (Logan) Newell, Jaidan Hickman, Erykah Carr. He also leaves behind two nieces, Lyndsi (Chris) Engle and Megan Engle, and two nephews, Brady Engle and Cody (Seri) Engle. He also had two grandchildren (Legend and Laikynn) and two great nephews (Khyri & Kiernan). Chris was also blessed with many friends and family members near and far.
