Cory Gale Lucht, 37, of Newton Kansas passed away unexpectedly Sunday, July 14th at 5:57 p.m. His life was cut short by a heart attack.
Cory was born in Nashville, Tennessee on April 22, 1982, a son of Tamra Dee (Mackey) and William Dean Lucht. He graduated from Fort Collins High School, Fort Collins, Colorado in 2001. He worked as a skilled machinist in a variety of jobs in the McPherson area. He was most recently employed at Living Colors Painting in Newton, Kansas.
Cory enjoyed music. He loved to play guitar and drove his parents crazy with the drums as a child. He was a talented artist who loved to draw. These talents transferred to his work in painting. In his spare time, he loved nothing better than grilling outdoors and making our mouths drool with his descriptions of dinner. He thoroughly enjoyed playing with children and his dogs. In addition, he was an avid Penguins fan. Cory was united in marriage to Lana Gharst on December 20, 2006. They established their home together in McPherson.
He is survived by his parents Bill and Tammy Lucht of West Conshohocken, Pennsylvania, his siblings David Lucht and his wife Mary of Eugene, Oregon, John Lucht and his wife Kimberly of Washington D.C., Amanda Burdey and her husband Brad of Conshohocken, Pennsylvania and Nathan Lucht of Denver, Colorado. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews Noah Hosford, Samantha Lucht, Malaki Lucht, Nora Lucht, Braylen Burdey, Aubree Burdey, Cameryn Burdey; other relatives, Lana Lucht and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday 8:30 a.m. to service time at Glidden-Ediger Chapel, McPherson.
Funeral service will be held at Glidden-Ediger Chapel, McPherson, Kansas at 10:00 a.m July 20, 2019 with Pastor Galen Dreier officiating.
