Cynthia Ann “Cindy” Ziegler, 62, of Salina, passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2023.  She was born in Salina, Kansas on May 7, 1960 to Clarence Leo and Eileen Lucy (Spartz) Ziegler.

Cindy graduated from Salina Central High school in 1978 and attended Hutchinson Community College. Cindy worked as a manager for Pizza Hut in Salina for 25 years and is fondly remembered by many former employees and customers. She worked at Ace Hardware for the last several years and will be missed by her customers and work family. Cindy experienced serious health problems over the last 10 years but approached it all with strength, determination, resilience, a positive outlook and her dry sense of humor. Cindy most of all loved and was proud of her daughter and granddaughters.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers Michael and Patrick; sister, Carla.

She is survived by her daughter, Courtney Ziegler (Cody Gentry) of Denver, Colorado; granddaughters Coralyn and Callie; siblings, Randy (B. Eileen) Ziegler, of Russellville, AR, Marian McNally, of Salina, Rosalind (Rick) Lewis of Wamego, John Ziegler, of Salina; sister in law, Pamela, of Hutchinson; and many cousins, nieces and nephews and her favorite cat, Mr B.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday, April 17, 2023 at Sacred Heart Cathedral with entombment to follow in Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

The family will receive friends prior to Mass at 9:00 am and will also have visitation on Sunday from 5-7pm at Saline County Sheriff’s Community Room, 251 N 10th Street, Salina.
