Deanne K. Lull, 83 of Salina passed away Saturday, September 9, 2023. Deanne was born on July 4, 1940, in Orchard, Nebraska to Dr. Henry A. and Blanche F. (Schultze) Nagel. She grew up in Washington, Kansas, and graduated from Washington High School.
Deanne received an associate degree from Brown Mackie College in 1959. While there, she met her husband, Ronald. They were married for 63 years. Deanne spent 49 years with the Soil Conservation Service. She continued to serve through the National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association.
Deanne was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church. Her faith was very important to her. Within the church, she was active in the Crusaders Sunday School Class, and the First United Methodist Women of Faith, Ruth Circle. She volunteered for many years in the church office and also prepared meals for shut ins. In later years, she enjoyed doing Christ Centered Yoga.
Deanne loved watching sports, especially football and the Kansas City Chiefs. She enjoyed playing bingo and going to plays at the community theatre. She collected nativity scenes and horse themed memorabilia.
Deanne was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Ronald Lull; son, Steven Lull (Janelle); daughter, Judi Waliczek (John); brother, Randy Nagel (Mary Hillman); two grandchildren, Samantha Metcalfe (Tyler) and Bryan Lull.
Celebration of Life will be Monday, September 18 at 11:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church and visitation will be Sunday, September 17, 2023, from 4-8 p.m. with family present from 4-6 p.m. at Ryan Mortuary.
