Delbert W. Conrad, age 79, of Abilene, passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at the Salina Regional Medical Center in Salina.
He was born January 25, 1940 in Arkansas City, Kansas the son of Wade and Rosetta (McClaren) Conrad. He was the owner of Conrad Construction Company and also worked for the Herington Livestock Market in Herington. Delbert was a member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Enterprise Church and enjoyed gardening.
He was united in marriage to Jean Zenoniani. They later divorced. He then married Rosemary Aitken-Weis in October 2011. Delbert is survived by his wife, Rosemary; his sons Delbert and his wife Debbie Conrad, Jr of Kansas City, Missouri, Robin and his wife Gemma Conrad of Tyler, Texas, daughters Lorilee Buursma and her husband Henry of Tonasket, Washington, Jenny Milledge of Washington, step sons Terry and his wife Mary Weis of Littleton, Colorado, Steven and his wife Charlene Weis of Salina, Kansas, brother Leon Conrad of Lincoln, Nebraska, sisters Lucille Heiser of Kansas City, Missouri, Jean Hein of Des Moines, Iowa, Frances Baumam of Clark, Nebraska, and Becky Conrad of Pewaukee, Wisconsin; twelve grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and 2 step great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brothers Marshall and Milton, and sisters Jane Guy and Helen McGinnis, and his parents.
Cremation is planned. Funeral services for Delbert will be 11 a.m. Sunday, August 18, 2019 at the Enterprise Seventh Day Adventist Church with Elder Rob Koch officiating. His final resting place will be in the Mt. Hope Cemetery near Enterprise. Memorial contributions may be made to the Delbert W.
