Diane Jeanine Cummings, 71, of McPherson, Kansas, passed away at 7:03 a.m., Tuesday, May 28th, 2019 peacefully at Bethany Home, Lindsborg.

Diane was born in McPherson, Kansas on June 8, 1947, to Jean (Ferm) Neufeld.

Diane attended Salina and McPherson public schools and graduated from McPherson Senior High School in 1965.

She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Lindsborg.

Diane enjoyed helping others in her community, teaching water aerobics at the Y.M.C.A, teaching 4H kids to bake, giving food demonstrations, flowers, gardening, loved her church community and spending time with her family.

Diane J. Orr was united in marriage to Kenneth W. Cummings on November 24, 1966 in McPherson, Kansas. The young couple established their first home together in McPherson. This union was blessed with the birth of two children, Ronda and David. The couple also raised their nephew Philip Orr.

She is survived by her husband Kenneth Cummings, of McPherson, Kansas; her children Ronda Watson and her husband Trey, of Hunter, Kansas and David Cummings, of McPherson, Kansas; her brother Chuck Orr, of McPherson, Kansas. She is also survived by her grandson Nathan Watson (Emily) and her great-grandsons – Caleb and Micah Watson – with one on the way, and a nephew, Philip Orr and family.

Diane was preceded in death by her mother Jean Neufeld and stepfather James Neufeld; a sister Sharon and a brother Gary.

Visitation will be held at Bethany Lutheran Church, Lindsborg, Kansas from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Monday, June 3, 2019.

Funeral service will be held at Bethany Lutheran Church, Lindsborg, Kansas at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, June 3rd, 2019 with Rev. Jim Strausen and Chaplain Phil Hett officiating.

The final resting place will be at New Gottland Lutheran Church Cemetery, McPherson, Kansas.
