Donald “Don” Robert Andrews, of Newton, KS formerly of Salina, KS passed away on December 22, 2024. Don was born on January 4, 1955, to Robert and Marjorie (Walle) Andrews in Salina.
Don started working as an auto detailer at the age of 18, working at Jim Sullivan Chevrolet, Buxman Motors and retiring from Midway Motors. Spending his working years with cars, Don became an avid car enthusiast. Because of his love for cars Don never missed a NASCAR race. Don also a fan of the Kansas City Chiefs always made sure to watch the games. Don was a collector and collected antiques of all kinds. Don enjoyed most of all spending time with his family and friends.
Don is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Marjorie Andrews, his grandparents and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He is survived by sister, Deanna and husband Daniel Boccia; nieces, Kristin (Dustin) Menzies, Kellie (Dominick) Kiser; nephew, Brandon Boccia and close friend and colleague John Riffel.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, January 3, 2025, with family visitation from 10-11 a.m. and the funeral service beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Ryan Mortuary, Salina. Graveside services will follow at Roselawn Cemetery, Salina. A memorial has been established with Newton Medical Center (NMC Health); Attn: Administration; PO Box 308; Newton, KS 67114-0308.
