It is with great sadness to announce that Donna B. Lefort passed away at age 86 on May 20th, 2023, at Reflections Retirement Resort surrounded by family. She was born to Earl and Kathryn Parsons in Bostwick, Nebraska on September 2, 1936.
Donna graduated from Jamestown High School in Jamestown, Kansas where she used one of her many talents in leading the marching band as the Drum Majorette, a job she did with great pride and grace. Following graduation, she married the love of her life Delbert Lefort on September 25, 1954. She worked most of her life as a bookkeeper/business manager at various companies including her husband and son’s petroleum business, D & S Service.
Donna’s greatest joy in life was her family. She loved hosting dinners and family gatherings. She was an amazing cook and baker. Her greatest passion was attending anything involving her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whether that be sporting events or vocal, band and dance competitions, she was always there front and center cheering them on. Donna had many hobbies and interests such as dancing, traveling, and playing card or dice games with family and friends.
Donna is survived by her son Stan Lefort (Debra), daughter, Sue Lefort, sisters Sandra Pae (Fred), and Mary Newton. Sister-in-law Sandra Parsons and Arlee Mae Parsons. Granddaughter’s, Stephanie Lefort, Sherry Lefort (Virgil), Christina Lefort. Grandson Dylan Lefort (Chelsea). Great grandchildren, Madison (Drew) Searcy, Ella Searcy, Avery Lefort (Kenze), Brooklyn, Creighton, Bradleigh, Beckett, and Rhyatt Lefort. Great great granddaughter, Raelynn Lefort, and many more beloved nephews, nieces, and several close friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert Lefort, her parents Earl and Kathryn Parsons, brothers Raymond, Gary, and Delbert Parsons, sisters Evelyn Tholstrup, Ruby Conn, Clara Stegmaier, and Irene Parsons.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 25th, 2023, from 4-8 pm at Ryan Mortuary, Salina, Kansas. A celebration of life will be held Friday, May 26th, 2023, at 11:00 am at Ryan Mortuary, Salina, Kansas. Burial will follow immediately after the funeral at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Concordia, Kansas. Lunch to follow at the American Legion in Concordia, Kansas.
