Doris Elaine Karber

Doris Elaine Karber, 77, of Gypsum, passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at the Salina Regional Health Center.

Elaine was born on August 21, 1945 in McPherson, Kansas to the late Michael F. Karber and Doris E. (Burch) Hancock. She graduated from Salina High School in 1963.

She worked as a Sample Prep Technician at Tony’s Pizza for 35 years retiring in 2010.

Elaine was a member of the Audubon Society, Gem and Mineral Club of McPherson, a lifetime member of the VFW Lodge 1432 and the American Legion Post 62. She was an animal lover and had numerous pets over the years that she cherished.

She is survived by:

Brothers: Michael L. (Karen) Karber of Gypsum and Kenny Hancock of Salina;

Niece: Kayla (Andy) Wharton of Parker, TX;

Great-Nephew: Asher Wharton of Parker, TX;

Numerous Cousins.

A viewing will be held on Monday, January 2, 2023 from 5 – 7 PM at the Roselawn Heights Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at 2:00 PM at the Roselawn Heights Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
