Dorothy Virginia Baker, 83, of Salina, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, January 18th, 2023.
Dorothy was born in Rural Clay County, Kansas on July 11, 1939, a daughter of Mildred F. (McNeil) and Harold I. Stoneback.
In 1956, Dorothy married Frank Baker in Clay Center, Kansas.
She owned Dorothy’s Salon Madrid and Wig Boutique for 20 years and was a Federal Camp Host at Kanopolis Lake for 12 years.
Dorothy was also a member of Native Daughters of Kansas, Emmanuel Christian Center, and was a published author.
Survivors include two daughters, Angela Williams, of Bixby, Oklahoma, Amanda Williams (Dennis), of Russell, Kansas; son, Steve Baker (Cindi), of Salina, Kansas; grandchildren, Rachel Voeltz, (Dustin) of Lincoln, Kansas, Teresa Nicholson, (Mike) of Salina, Kansas, Christopher Snyder, (Brin) of Bennington, Kansas, Brian Williams,(Chelsee) of Collinsville, Oklahoma, Richard Baker, (Brittany) of Salina, Kansas,Bryen Baker, (Jennifer) of Moyock, North Carolina; great grandchildren, Elisabeth Bryant (Raymond), Emily Voeltz, Evan Voeltz, Gavin Bange, Christ Nicholson, Connor Bange, Logan Nicholson, Pyper Snyder, Remington Snyder, Oscar Baker; great great grandchildren, Wyatt, Gary, Charles, 1 on the way; and many nieces and nephews.
She is also survived by her sister, Dianne Lindenmuth (Dennis), of Salina, Kansas.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frank Baker; sisters, JoAnn Weir and Betty Stoneback.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, January 26th at Emmanuel Church, 1325 E Cloud St., with Pastor Loren Houltberg officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, in care of the Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home and Crematory.
