Douglas Martin (Doug) Kubin, 74, of McPherson, KS, passed away at 10:32 a.m., Tuesday, August 13th, peacefully, at McPherson Hospital .

Douglas was born in McPherson, Kansas on October 28, 1944, a son of Edna C. (Nielsen) and Haven John “Hap” Kubin.

Doug attended the Centerview country School, rural McPherson and graduated from McPherson High School, McPherson, Kansas in 1962. He then attended McPherson College, and Kansas State University, Manhattan, Kansas.

Doug started working for Certainteed Corporation, McPherson, Kansas in 1967 as a Quality Control Inspector until 1977 when he started working for Davis Water and Waste Industries in Thomasville, Georgia as the Operations Manager. In 1985 Doug Started working for American Maplan in McPherson, Kansas as an Research and Development supervisor until he retired.

He is survived by a host of friends.
