Earl Jens Hansen, 95, Salina, passed away Monday, Feb. 13, 2023. He was born May 15, 1927 in Tescott, KS, the son of Jim and Ludia (Werries) Hansen. He joined the Navy right out of high school and after serving his country, he was employed by J.S. Frank Construction for many years. He retired with Harbin Construction. He was a life member of the Salina Elks Lodge 718 and was a member of the Tescott American Legion for 75 years. He was an avid K-State Fan attending many football games to cheer on his beloved wildcats.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Mariel Lee and his son, Jimmy Leroy Hansen.

He is survived by his wife, Marjorie A. (Schwarz) Hansen; daughter, Jennifer Dolif (David), Phippburg, CO; stepdaughter, Paula Smith, Wichita, KS; granddaughters, Brooke Retzlaff (Jarrod), Salina and Paige Hansen, Denver, C0; grandson, Caleb Dolif of Colorado, and great grandson, Mason Retzlaff, Salina.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, 2023, at the Redeemer Lutheran Church, 743 E. Magnolia Road, Salina, with military burial honors presented by the U.S. Navy.
